Day Fifteen: Busy city life and shopping malls

Day Fifteen February 5th, 2009

Another day was spent roaming the city of Lucknow. The city is typical of most large northern Indian cities or perhaps just all Indians cities. It is spread out densely with many winding roads that even confuse the locals. There are a few main arteries that weave throughout the city however at rush hours even these thoroughfares come to a standstill. Driving is a constant stuggle. Competition for space is tough. Their is a heirarchy on any street starting with cows as the King. It than sprials down through buses, trucks, cars, rickshaws, bicycles and than finally pedestrians.
Creepy mannequins outside a clothing shop.
Looking a bit sleazy. Just how they roll in India. We went to a shopping center called "Fun Republic." Unsurprisingly like every mall in the US we found an Adidas store, Levis store and a McDonald's.

Video of us driving through Lucknow at night.
