Day Thirteen: Forts, palaces...Yadda yadda....

Day 13 February 3rd, 2009

After an early wake up time we meet with our driver Rakesh one last time and a guide that he has arranged for us through the government tourism program. We visit the Day touring Jaipur including City palace, Jantar Mantar and Fort. Yadda Yadda. By this point we are getting a bit sick of looking at giant, looming forts and our guides that only want to sell us handy crafts.
These women are using a very laborious and old construction technique to level the floor. Traditions are alive and well in India.

Drive to Dehli, traffic was horrible but we arrived at the train station on time. Here, you must always be on your toes. You never know who you can trust and who really could turn out to be a friend. A couple guys working together at the train station were trying to convince us that there was a separate train track for foreigners. The moment he opened his mouth I knew that he was being too helpful and went the opposite direction.
