Day twelve February 2nd, 2009
Today we begin with a 4-5 hour journey to hour final city of the Rajasthan tour, Jaipur. It is the largest city in the state as well as the capital. After a relatively comfortable journey on nicely paved roads we make it to Jaipur and our hotel. We have a short debate on what the nightly activity should be. It ends in a decision to make a 22km trip to a nearby "theme park" of sorts. Called Chowki Dhani, it is a complex constructed to replicate the villages of Rajasthan. Through the gate you are able to watch and participate in many different activities ranging from dance to camel rides. A traditional Rajasthani meal is also served. As we sit down to our table we look around and notice many more white faces than anywhere else so far on the tour. Rob talks with an older Canadian couple during most of dinner while the rest of us crack jokes about India and the previous weeks.
